"FUNCTIONAL PURPOSES OF ALUMINUM AND
COPPER CONDUCTOR HEADS
Architectural appeal is the most common purpose for the use of Conductor
Heads, also known as Collector, Leader, Scupper, Rainwater, and Gutter (heads
or Boxes). There are a number of functional purposes provided with their use.

1:
The heads serve as a vacuum brake for tall downspouts to assure water flows
efficiently.
2: They also provide an overflow for water and ice buildup alleviating
overflow at the roof line.
3: They allow open access at the top of vertical
downspouts for cleaning when needed.
4: The heads may be screened in the
top ring to provide additional protection of the expensive subsurface drains.
COPPER CONDUCTOR HEAD
Our COPPER conductor heads are
constructed of 16 ounce copper material,
soldered on the inside, with overflow on the
front. They are uniquely designed at 11" tall,
11" wide, and 7" deep.  They are available with
a 2 3/4" round outlet, or a 3" x 4" oval outlet
already installed for easier installation.
ALUMINUM CONDUCTOR HEADS
Our ALUMINUM conductor heads are
constructed of the same colored material that
the guttering is formed from.  This assures the
material and color match will be exact.  They
have the exact design, with overflow, as our
copper heads at 11" tall, 11" wide, and 7" deep.
They are available with a 2 3/4" round outlet, or
a 3"x 4" oval outlet already installed for easier
installation.
